What is co-working?

Coworking is a movement to create a community of cafe-like collaboration spaces for developers, writers and independents.  Co-working provides a professional work environment for freelancers and other self-employed people who may otherwise be working from home or a coffee shop.

This is an affordable and sensible option for people who would like to work from an office space, but can’t necessarily justify the expense of leasing an office and paying for utilities.

Co-working at Doral Business Lounge provides you with the desk space on a drop-in basis, as well as basic office amenities. All you have to do is bring your laptop – and your work!  Whether you need an office for the day or for the month, we can provide you with the space to meet your needs.

Can I use Doral Business Lounge as my business address?

Yes, as a registered member you can use our address as your business address.

What is the difference between a co-working space and renting my own office space?

Renting your own office space not only requires a contract and long term commitment, you are limited to your rented space and have to install all the necessary services such as phone and internet on your own.  Co-working allows you to utilize our entire facility and you are not limited to your office space.  Most utilities such as internet is already included, so you do not have to worry about that overhead.   Co-working allows for collaboration, so if you have an idea you would like to get an opinion for, simply talk to other members and get instant feedback.

What kind of people work at Doral Business Lounge?

Our community is comprised mainly of designers, developers, writers, artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, educators, small business owners, telecommuters, marketers, videographers, game developers, and more.

Do you provide computers and monitors?

No, we do not provide computers, however we do have monitors available on a first come first serve basis.  We provide the desk, chair, internet, and power supply for your workstation.

Are you a networking or referring group?

No, we do not engage in business card exchange events.  Absolutely no soliciting.  Our focus is to maintain a community of mutual collaboration where you can come in and do your work in a relaxed and friendly environment.
